Animal Race Extinction, 2018

Many of you know that I have a deep love of nature, and it is this that inspired my decision – as in previous years – to support this photographic project created by Nicolaj Pennestri and produced by LaserFilm.

Our 2018 calendar features endangered animals and I want to highlight our share of responsibility in this issue. Being the cause of this extinction does not only mean causing the permanent loss of an animal species; it is something much more serious. It means taking over planet Earth and looting it.

We have not inherited this world from our ancestors; we are simply borrowing it from our children. Nature is not just a place to visit. It is our home.
